Lead and Copper Rule Improvements (LCRI) Updates & Asset Management for your Service Line Inventory - Online

This FREE three-hour webinar will offer the following training:

Topic #1: LCRR & LCRI in Idaho:  This discussion will begin with an overview of the statewide compliance with the service line inventory that were submitted. Following that we will discuss the transition from the Lead and Copper Rule Revision to the Lead and Copper Rule Improvements and implications for water systems.”.
Instructor: Cassandra Lemmons, Idaho Department of Environmental Quality

Topic #2: LCRI Communications: Protect Public Trust during Inventories, Replacement Programs, School & Childcare Testing, and Action Level Exceedances
From now until 2037, the Lead and Copper Rule Improvements (LCRI) will put significant public communication pressure on tens of thousands of water providers that don’t have the dedicated staff or budgets to carry out major customer information efforts. If they fail to successfully communicate their compliance-related discoveries and actions, the resulting negative reactions of their customers, local leaders, the press, and social media will shake public confidence in their utility for years. This presentation will walk attendees through the several public communication-related challenges posed by the LCRI and lay out how water providers of all sizes can succeed using proven successful approaches currently at work in more than 20 states. We will also show how to proactively plan for the possibility that the LCRI could be thrown out in court, resulting in a possible return of the Lead and Copper Rule Revisions (LCRR).
Instructor: Mike McGill, WaterPIO

Topic #3: Lead Service Line Solution

Join us for an in-depth look at Esri’s latest version of the Lead Service Line Solution. Including new tools to help utilities manage customer self-assessment, sampling results, and service line replacement progress to ensure regulatory compliance.
Instructor: Tessa Chen, Esri
